Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By making a booking, you agree to them.

Arrival and departure

The house is available from approximately 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

If you would like to arrive earlier or remain at the Casa longer because of a late return flight, please arrange this in advance with the owner or the local property manager. Please inform the property manager of your expected arrival time.

You will find a key box on the left-hand side of the gate. It contains all keys for the Casa. You will receive the access code after booking.

Minimum und Maximum Aufenthalt

The minimum stay is seven nights during the summer months and four nights during the rest of the year. Longer stays are available by arrangement.

Booking and payment

A booking becomes binding only once we have received your deposit.

Within one week of making your reservation, you will receive a request to pay a deposit equal to 30% of the total amount. Please transfer this amount to our bank account within seven days of receiving the email.

Once we have received the deposit, your booking becomes binding. We will send you an email confirming receipt of the deposit, together with information about the house, directions, and local contacts.

The remaining balance must be transferred to our bank account no later than 30 days before arrival.

If you make a booking with an arrival date within the next 30 days, please transfer the full amount to our bank account within seven days. Your reservation becomes binding once we have received the full amount.

Cancellation

We understand that illness or family circumstances may require you to cancel your booking. We recommend taking out comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance that covers all parts of your trip.

You may cancel free of charge up to four weeks before the start of your stay.

If you cancel between four and two weeks before the start of your stay, 30% of the rental amount is payable.

If you cancel less than two weeks before the start of your stay, the full rental amount is payable.

Security deposit

Please pay a security deposit together with the remaining balance 30 days before your arrival. This deposit covers any damage caused during your stay and amounts to €300.

We will refund it within 14 days after the end of your stay, less the cost of any damage.

Final cleaning and rubbish

The final cleaning fee is €200. Please remove and dispose of all rubbish at the end of your stay.

Access to the house

You will need a car to reach the house. The final three kilometres from the village of Sayalonga to the house in Carraspite follow a well-maintained and fully paved mountain road.

Some experience of mountain driving is advisable because parts of the road are steep and narrow. Potholes may occur, so travelling in a low sports car is not recommended. The house is readily accessible with a standard car.

Always approach via the main Algarrobo to Sayalonga road, even if your navigation system suggests a different route.

Pool safety

The pool is approximately 2.0 to 2.6 metres deep and is suitable for swimmers only. To prevent accidents, non-swimmers may only enter the pool area under supervision.

Use of the pool is at your own risk. The owner accepts no liability for its use.

Please do not enter the pool while wearing sunscreen. Oils can clog the filters and cause the water to turn green.

If this happens, the filters and pool will need to be cleaned at your expense.

Parties and events

Parties and events are prohibited inside the Casa, in the pool area, and anywhere on the property.

Smoking, Fire safety and barbecues

Smoking inside the Casa is prohibited.

Open fires of any kind are prohibited on the property because of the high risk of wildfires in the surrounding area.

Please use the gas barbecue rather than the outdoor barbecue.

Electricity and air conditioning

The maximum electrical power available to houses in the countryside is just under 6 kWh. Please bear in mind that a single air-conditioning unit can use up to 2 kWh.

For example, if two air-conditioning units are running while two hob rings are operating at maximum power, the circuit breakers may trip.

Please switch off the air-conditioning units whenever windows or doors are open and whenever you leave the house.

Toilets and wastewater system

Wastewater pipes in Spain have a much smaller diameter than those in Germany.

Do not flush hygiene products such as nappies, sanitary pads, tampons, cleansing wipes, or similar items down the toilet, as they may cause blockages.

Please do not flush toilet paper either. Use the bins provided.

Strong winds

Strong winds can arise suddenly and without warning in the countryside. Please close the parasols whenever they are not in use or when you leave the house.

Force majeure

Casa Vista al Mar cannot be held liable for unforeseen circumstances. Casa Vista al Mar accepts no liability for indirect costs arising from such circumstances.
